I woke up this morning and began thinking about CREATION. Grateful for all that is created around me... the birds of the air; the animals in the ocean; the beautiful trees and when I got to think about human beings... I felt a sudden sadness!

Why are people not AUTHENTIC with the life the Creator has bestowed upon them? Why Do people feel the need to tell lies, cheat, deceive and strive to steal others' dreams and ideas? Why Do people feel the need to tear down others' rather than build up? All of my life, I strive to be AUTHENTIC... not perfect... but be real, and authentic. IF YOU ARE MY FRIEND, I CAN PROMISE YOU THIS… I WILL TELL YOU WHEN YOU ARE RIGHT AND PULL YOU BACK WHEN I KNOW YOU ARE GOING THE WRONG WAY. You can count on me to always be truthful… not pump you up unnecessarily but be simply truthful and supportive…. BECAUSE I CARE AND WANT THE BEST FOR YOU.

Have you ever tried people watching? Well, this past weekend… I did! And boy, while I saw genuine beauty sadly in very few, I also saw pure ugliness, arrogance and sheer spitefulness in many, I saw those who come around you just to see you fail! Little do they know that their character no matter how much they tried to cover it up, the stench still manages to spew out. 

Whatever I am... whatever I have accomplished TODAY, I declare openly it is by share GRACE, MERCY and FAVOR OF GOD; and by obedience, even when it is tough. Not only that... it is by reaching out and being a blessing to others even when I CANNOT AFFORD TO PERSONALLY. There you go! My Secret to Success! In the same token, I am always careful not to allow myself to be used or be a pun in peoples’ games. You will not find me hare on the side of wickedness and other peoples’ destruction. … A promise I made to my Creator.

Often, I watch silently as people think they are playing with my life (or things that are important to me) or better yet they think they have gotten away with undermining others' lives... sometimes people think they have gotten away with cheating... but as Christ would teach us, give them a long rope... an opportunity to rectify their wrong doing! If they choose to continue to go the road to darkness and wickedness, just like a perfect example in His word... dust your feet off and keep moving... for it will be better for Sodom and Gomorrah...

Surround yourself with positive minded people; those who are strong in their own self-worth… who are not looking to be you but looking to up guard you and lift you up.

My Journey to the Award Winning Movie "Angel & the Mailman" Premiere in Houston~ 4/26/2014~by Bestselling Author & Filmmaker~Princess Fumi Hancock

It is barely 4 hours since my husband, Dr. David Hancock and I landed back in Nashville, TN after a night at the premiere of the African Oscar Award Winning Movie, Angel and the Mailman in Houston Texas, Santikos Palladium AVX. Being completely exhausted yet elated is an understatement. But I could not stop but share my experience with my friends, family and well-wishers.

So, just few hours from checking into my hotel... I quickly ran into my suite to prepare for the big bash...

 

At the reception area where we stayed the night ...

So we rushed down to the theater where the event happened... Giant of a theater...

So on the red carpet, I met a gentleman, National African Business Association , Mr. Akinyemi

In all of the craziness happening around, I finally got a chance to spend quality time with Chichi Njoku, Producer of the Movie, Angel & The Mailman

As we settle down to watch the movie, an awesome thing happened! The Trailer of my upcoming FEATURE MOVIE, OF SENTIMENTAL VALUE was debuted on one of the largest film screen I had ever seen! It was such a cool feeling, setting the pace for what will happen very soon....

My Verdict? Everyone needs to watch the movie, Angel and the Mailman! The message of drunk driving was strong... the characters were extraordinarily played. The story is powerful!

So, we are dead in the middle of our post production for, Of Sentimental Value, A Comedic Drama bridging the gap between Hollywood, Nollywood and ofcourse Ghollywood. It's been a great journey to move from being a best selling author, The Adventures of Jewel Cardwell to becoming an Executive Producer and the Screenwriter for this movie. I take the time to thank all of my fans, readers, bloggers, reviewers, viewers of my TV show, The Princess in Suburbia "Your Vision Torch". I really couldn't have done all these without you.
